I don’t know who she is, but she sits outside my front door.
She came from Cousin Lucy’s after Cousin Lucy passed away. Lucy had a wonderful green thumb and always had lots of potted plants around her door.
Those are credentials enough for me.
When I first saw this picture, I immediately thought: Quan Yin, Goddess of Compassion. Ur, then again that really is the only Buddhist Goddess I know of.
I think you're right. I've had several people identify her as Quan Yin, goddess of compassion or of mercy. Not a bad vibe for outside my front door!
